Art
Div.ergo is positioned quite far from the classical idea of art.
Yet... it is a work of art, an art form that engages in dialogue—as many artistic experiences that began in the latter half of the 20th century do—with our time, with the openness and harshness it expresses, with the space for life given or taken away from humankind.
The movement and reflection generated at Div.ergo are a constant re-creation of the meaning of Art in relation to its experience. The aesthetic vision that forms and manifests here does not consider solely the final tangible result, whether it is a polymer clay sculpture, painted ceramics, crafted wood, leather, or glass.
Rather, it is what creates inseparable connections between the artwork, the imagination and character of everyone, the stories told, the written word, and the unpredictable links each person establishes between themselves, others, and things... Everything is reacted to together, and the feeling of being prompted to respond with a creation makes each person an artist.
At Div.ergo, none of the Artists creates from nothing, and none alone; among us, the myth of the Noble savage holds no sway here. Each person is capable of communicating, yet communication always involves an intertwining of worlds.
